19th November 2006 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 20-40 knots Surf / Sea State: 2-3 foot surf Air Temperature: 10ºC Sea Temperature: 14ºC Weather: Cloudy then rain Max Speed: Distance Covered: Started off with the 5m and Naish Hybrid Freewave 86. Just enough to get going on my first run then the wind filled in and I was soon maxed out. The wind was a little up and down then, with a few lulls but most of the time I would have been better off on a 4.5m or even a 4m. At times even something smaller would have been enough. Lots of nice jumps and some general blasting about in pretty difficult conditions... It is these sorts of days that really sort the men from the boys... The me today were me, AndyW and Chris, all of whom had a big grin on our faces by the time we got off the water. Despite the little ding to the nose of my board. |
